01. Audit & Assurance

• External Audit

  This is the year end audit of the company. Both internal (Shareholders, Directors, Top Level Management & etc.) & external (Department of Inland Revenue, BOI, Bankers & etc.) stakeholders require audited Financial Statements for internal decision making purposes as well as external regulatory compliance.

  Our services cover,

  Obtaining reasonable assurance on whether the Financial Statements presented by the company are free from material misstatements.
  
  Checking whether the Financial Statements have been prepared in accordance with the Sri Lankan Accounting & Financial Reporting Standards, the requirements of the Companies Act No. 07 of 2007 & other regulatory requirements in Sri Lanka.
  
  Expressing our audit opinion on the Financial Statements & to report on the findings as require by the SLAUs (Sri Lanka Auditing standards).
  

• Internal Audit

  Internal audit, as a service to the organization, contributes to the internal control by examining, evaluating & reporting to the management on the adequacy & effectiveness of the financial system. Internal Audit Activities are initiated as a result of the management’s response, in order to strengthen the client’s internal controls.

  The objective of internal auditing is to assist the management on the most economical, efficient and effective use of recourses and thereby obtain the return on the organization’s outlay.

02. Tax Consultancy

Confidentiality is a mandatory requirement for tax related services. We always respect and protect the confidential information of the client at any time.

We provide the following value added tax related services to the client by maintaining confidentiality.

VAT & NBT Taxes
Computing quarterly and monthly tax payables for both VAT and NBT Taxes

Filling monthly or quarterly returns to the Department of Inland Revenue

Entering input and output schedule data to the RAMIS system.

Functioning as the authorized representative of the client for VAT and NBT issues with the Department of Inland Revenue

ESC, Stamp Duty and PAYEE Tax
Computing quarterly tax payable for ESC and Stamp Duty and monthly tax payable for payee tax

Filling quarterly or annual returns to the Department of Inland Revenue

Functioning as the authorized representative of the client for ESC, Stamp Duty and PAYEE Tax issues with the Department

Income Tax & Dividend Tax

As a value added service, we compute and file the individual’s Income Tax Returns of the key personnel of our audit clients (Shareholders, Directors, CEO etc.,) free of charge. Similarly we charge a very fair price or at times no cost, the stages of the appeal hearing process with the Department of Inland Revenue.

Appeal for Assessments

Normally these services are offered by the firm at a very fair price or free of charge to the audit clients of the firm.

Assessment is mostly based on the view or opinion of the assessor and we ensure that this opinion is always challenged. The firm has great expertise in this area in the following stages of the appeal hearing:

Preparing an Appeal and addressing the precise grounds for appeal

Acting as the authorized representative of the client at the Appeal Hearing by the Assistant Commissioner of the Appeal branch

Acting as the authorized representative of the client at the Appeal Hearing by the Commissioner of the Appeal branch

Acting as the authorized representative of the client at the Appeal Hearing by the Commissioner General of the Department of Inland Revenue

Acting as the authorized representative of the client to the Tax Appeal Commission
